RESPONSIBILITIES


The Territory Manager for Medical Sales is responsible for achieving a sales quota through the selling of medical products and product solutions within assigned facilities and departments in a defined territory. The Territory Manager will be responsible for understanding and developing the assigned territory to maximize and grow market share, revenue, and profits, by promoting and selling medical equipment to existing customers and acquiring new business.



  • Developmental goals, sales territory objectives, and administrative requirements

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key physicians, nurses, clinicians, department decision makers and/or administrators within assigned accounts or markets

  • Arrange appointments with doctors, pharmacists, and hospital medical teams

  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of medical products and services

  • Ensure customers are trained on the safety and the efficacy of products in the portfolio

  • Provide competitive information such as bid situations, pricing data, or bundling arrangements to establish negotiated pricing contracts for assigned products

  • Improve product knowledge and sales techniques

  • Gather, analyze, and deliver information from the field to allow the company to develop strategies and products

  • Coordinate all issues with key clients between sales, service, support, customer services, marketing, and finance



QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree required; 3 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree

  • 3+ years in the sales industry

  • Excellent customer service, and interpersonal and communication skills

  • Access to hospitals and specific departments in geographic territory

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills

WORKING CONDITIONS


Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
